This rare embossed die cut cardboard sign dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. Image of a young couple in what I believe is a scene from the opera, Romeo and Juliet, it is inscribed at the top Gardiner & Woodruff Real Estate Agents, 324 Fifth Street, Ground Floor Louisville, KY. Property listed with us for sale or rent, advertised at our expense.What makes this so unusual is that there is a rubber stamped across the inscription is Gardiner & Rice, successors to. The sign measures about 15 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition with a couple of creases in the lower right corner, edge wear, and minor soiling.
