ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Manufactured by Mayer China in the 1930s or 1940s, this scarce stoneware shaving mug is decorated with a green flag emblazoned with the Texaco Star logo, and is the type of china used on the ships of the Texaco tanker fleet. It measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide with the handle and is in excellent condition with a small spot in the glaze near the rim where something stuck to it in the kiln. Included with the mug is a Strong Set boar bristle shaving brush. 16628-41EUT
