ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Manufactured by Green Duck in Chicago in the 1930s, this 2 shelf welded wire display rack has a 1 sided tin sign at top decorated with a wonderful image of a policeman holding up his hand, on which is inscribed Just a minute please. A round inset to his left is inscribed have you Weed Chains in your car ? The rack, which would have held boxes of tire chains for winter driving, would have been found at service stations and auto parts stores originally. The rack measures 37 1/4 inches tall by 18 3/4 inches wide by 12 inches deep and the sign 18 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall. The display is in excellent condition with fresh green paint on the wire. A little surface crazing, nicks, scuffs, and dings on the sign and displays well.
