One of the lesser known clothiers, C. W. Klemm opened his manufacturing plant in Bloomington, IL in the late 1800's and was known for Jumbo Jake overalls. And that is exactly what this large round thermometer is advertising! Wear Klemm's Best Jumbo Jake is in the center with Overalls - Jackets at the bottom. The blue and red letters stand out amazing against the white porcelain background with the blue metal case. The metal case is in amazing shape and looks to have been professionally painted recently. We are not sure if the temperature needle reads correctly, but with the beauty of this thermometer, that is a mute point. Klemm's corporation lasted for a century, with the company last appearing in the Bloomington Normal City Directory in 1981.
