JOE TINKER HALL OF FAME BASEBALL PLAYER CIGAR BOX GLASS TOPPER 1910's RARE ITEM. Here is a rare item from the hall of fame player Joe Tinker who played from 1902 to 1916. It's a metal and glass cover that sat on the top of a cigar box over 100 years ago. There is some oxidation to the metal, the metal is clean and straight. There is a couple small spots of rust on the left side 5 cents. The glass is nice, no cracks except for a little chip on the back upper left corner which is hardly even noticeable from the back and cannot be seen from the front. 5 cents is on each side as well as Joe Tinkers name in the middle which is in excellent condition. 9 3/4 X 6 1/2 inches. A real survivor for the vintage tobacco collector as well as vintage baseball collector. With the Cubs, Tinker was a part of one of the greatest double play trios of Johnny Evers and Frank Chance that was immortalized as Tinker to Evers to Chance.
