ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Fifteen different vintage New England covered bridges labels or stamps that shows covered bridges in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. There are four blocks of 4. One block of stamps were issued by Lucy Gray Loekle and Harry A. Packard honoring the Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges and show three different covered bridges in Maine with fourth stamp the map of Maine. The other three blocks are a mixture of covered bridges from locations in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Each stamp measures approximately "2.25 x 1.75". Date is unknown. These stamps are in good condition. Two of the blocks have corners missing as can be seen in the photos. All stamps show surface wear. Some splits along perforations.
