ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Tin lithographed windup Popeye toy by Louis Marx. Toy is called Popeye Express, produced in 1932 and features Popeye walking with a trunk on top of a wheelbarrow. As he walks, the parrot should pop his head in and out of the trunk. Somehow the linkage on this toy is not functioning correctly and the parrot stays in the trunk unless you pull him up. Popeye still walks as he should. Condition is excellent with the pipe and parrot door, usually missing. Popeye stands 8.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches long and 3.25 inches wide.
