Parents wanted to make sure that kids shoes held up, and Weather-Bird had them covered. Designed to last, they were made of high quality leather and were made to repel water. This easel back sign sat nicely in your local general store on the counter to let all parents know they carried the best shoes around. Made of pressed fiberboard, this colorful sign has raised letters on the bottom with the company mascot, a black rooster, standing on top of a weather vane in front of the rising sun. Some minor chipping has occurred around the outer edge of the sun with a 3/4 inch chip in the lower left corner. The raised letters have some slight wear on them also with some minor paint chipping. The finish on the front has some crazing on it and we are thinking it is age related, and does not affect the collectability on this piece. Neat store display for your country store room! 18940-EPP
