Colburn Woode Thermometer Philadelphia Mustard 24 Inch
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Wooden thermometers are becoming very hard to find and this one is a great looking one to add to your collection! It was manufactured by the A. Colburn Co. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for Colburn's Philadelphia Mustard and measures twenty-four inches tall. On the left side of the thermometer it has the degrees in tens, then on the right it tells you how hot it is, from Zero, Freezing, Temperate, Sume'r Heat, Blood Heat, and Fever Heat. The outer lip has been repainted a time or two, we believe that it was originally black. On the back of the thermometer is what is left of the original instructions, it looks like 35 to 40 percent has been lost over the years. The mercury in the thermometer appears to be reading correctly, so you could easily hang this in your kitchen. Great patina on this rare piece! 18837-ETP
