Savings stamp programs began in the 1950's as an incentive program for shoppers to purchase items with cash instead of store credit. Customers would receive trading stamps based upon the total shopping amount, and were pasted into savings books. Once the savings book was full, you would redeem it for household goods, appliances, home decor, and toys. This light up cabinet sign features Toppy the pink plaid elephant complete with his Tam O'Shanter style cap that appealed to kids everywhere. The plastic faced sign is thirty-eight inches long by ten and a half inches tall. The ends are metal, and it has a chain on the back to hang it very easily. Since the sign face is plastic, it has a surface crack on the top, with ten inches on the left, and three inches on the right that has separated. It was manufactured by Neon Products in Lima Ohio, and has the decal on the back casing. This sign lights up like it should without hesitation and will look great in your home. 18990-EEP
