Primitive Shinola Shoe Polish String Holder
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
The original Shinola shoe polish brand was founded in Rochester New York in 1877 and closed in 1960. This scarce, very early country store advertising string holder for Shinola brand shoe polish is early and has a great folk art look. Made of wood and metal, w/ nice early stenciled advertising on both sides . Heavy stenciling and nice condition. You will note the great pulley system made of wood and held in place with a metal piece. The top piece of wood says Try and the bottle has the Shinola name. Both sides have the same. Nice heavy print. 16399-TPP
