ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This hard to find large counter top candy display case was manufactured by J. G. Schumm and has a patent date of December 25, 1894. It is framed in oak with eight sides, an ornate top gallery, and a single door. Inside the case are four octagonal shelves, attached to a center post, that rotate. Originally each shelf had eight glass dividers with short glass front panels that separated the different candies. Currently all of the dividers and two of the front panels are missing. The showcase measures forty-four inches tall by twenty-nine inches square and is in excellent condition with a newer refinish. All of the short glass panels on the rotating shelves appear to be replacements and six of the outside glass panels appear to be new also This is not a standard shippable item via Postal Service or FedEx/UPS.
