MASSIVE WALL MAP OF BAVARIA GERMANY TOPOGRAPHICAL DETAIL OBERBAYERN 1935. Here is an enormous military map of either southern or upper Bavaria Germany. It is a topographical relief and political map mounted on heavy canvas with wooden rods, hanging cord, closure tie and straps (One is missing one has just a piece) Straps indicate military use. At the top it says Wenschow - Reliefkarte Oberbayern with creator Wilhelm Weidmueller. Weidmueller's topography make the Bavarian Alps stand out as though it was actual raised relief. Paper over heavy canvas. The paper has some minor tears mostly towards the top with one piece of tape. A few very light tears in the field. There is a stain upper right. It is in remarkable condition for it's size and age. The wooden rods, hanging cord and tie strap are in excellent condition. The total map is 75 inches across X 85 inches tall including the wooden rods (See the can to gauge the size). Published by Karl Wenschow G.M.B.H Munich Germany 1935.
