1920's Chero-Cola Soda Beach Theme Hanging Paper Ad Swimsuit
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
It's always nice to think of the beach, and this ad definitely makes us do just that! This fantastic cardboard ad for Chero-Cola dates from the 1920's and was originally hung in a snack bar at the shore or lake. It features a bathing beauty complete in her swimsuit, cap, and water shoes sitting under an umbrella cooling off with a bottle of Chero-Cola. The string that was used to hang this vintage piece is long gone, so we decided to frame it to preserve it's history for years to come. Some minor water staining has occurred around the outer edge, with it creeping into the lower part of the picture at the bottom. It is marked American Colortype Chicago - New York with a beacon of light between Colortype and Chicago and measures 17.75 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The colors on this rare cardboard piece show how much work went into printing over a century ago. 18757-WPP
