Esso Extra Motor Oil Floater Pencil U. S. A. F. Base
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
In the 1940's everyone used a pencil daily, so why not put your advertising in your customer's hand? Esso decided that it would be a great way to advertising their new Esso Extra Motor Oil with this cool floater pencil! It has a picture of a car inside the top that goes up or down depending on how you hold the pencil. The backdrop is a billboard and states New Esso Extra Motor Oil and the movement of the car drives by the background! On the opposite side is where the pencil came from which is actually a United States Air Force Base in Molesworth, United Kingdom. The base was used from the 1940's to the early 1980's, and this pencil dates from the late 1940's to the 1950's. It still has pencil lead inside as well! Some minor wear on the barrel of the pencil, but the car inside moves with ease. 19176-UP
