ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Just in time for Halloween is this unusual rubber devil's head. Guessing, I would say that he dates from the 1920's or 1930's. Originally, when you squeezed this hollow rubber head, his horns and tongue would stick out. The rubber is hardened and inflexible now. He has a brick red face, orange hair, gold eyes, and blood red horns and tongue, giving him a rather sinister appearance. The manufacturer's mark on the back of his head is illegible, but the country of origin appears to be Czechoslovakia, which would mean that he is a Krampus, a character more commonly associated with Christmas in that part of the world. He measures 3 tall by 3 wide and is in good condition with a hardened rubber surface and a flat spot on the left rear part of his head. 9140-WT
