ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Vintage WWII era military matchbook cover (with striker but no matches) for the US Army Air Force USAAF Technical Training School, Gulfport Field, Mississippi. Reverse side of cover is similar to a post card. One side is for the address and other side where they could write a message. The box in upper right corner, the service member would write the word "Free" (no postage required). Measures 3.00" x 4.50" and manufactured by the Universal Match Company, St Louis, MO. Matchbook cover is in good used condition with some soiling/stains and bumped corners.
