Enamel Decorated Emerald Green Colored Glass Barber Bottle
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Unlike today, going to a barber shop was a big deal in the early 1900's! Many men could not afford to have their hair cut, so it was a privilege to have a professional barber cut your hair. This emerald green barber bottle dates from the early 1900's and would have held hair tonic so the barber could give his customers a smooth cut. So it did not look like any ordinary bottle, designs were added with enamel paint to make it stand out among the background. The white and lighter green flower designs are raised and are hand painted. Some wear can be seen on the designs with slight chipping and fading. This beautiful barber bottle retains its original stopper with spritzer insert, and is free of chips and cracks. It measures seven and a half inches tall by three and a half inches in diameter. Great addition to your barber collection! 19313-QTP
