Dating from the 1930's, this ultra rare porcelain face door push has a die cut face and a cookie cutter mount! Used either on the outside or inside, this door push was mounted to a swinging door (think screen door) for customers come in or leave a general store. Companies saw a marketing opportunity, so ads were placed on these door pushes, like Coca-Cola! Made by R. J. Dewees in Dallas Texas, it features a decorative wrought iron frame that is adjustable. The porcelain sign is die cut on the ends, and has a cookie cutter edge on the top and bottom. A chip on the lower left corner can be seen, along with a minor mark or two on the porcelain face. On the back, rust has chipped away at the porcelain cookie cutter bottom lip over the years. It has bled through to the name of R. J. Dewees on the lip.
