Coca Cola Sales Bottler and Retailer Push Coke
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Very rare Coca Cola sales aid sign from the late 1920's. There's not much information out there about these little cardboard signs, but they were apparently used by the route salesmen to help sell grocers and store owners on the benefits of carrying Coca Cola. This sign has an image of a grocer loading an ice box with bottles of Coca Cola in the foreground with a ghost image of a bottling plant in the background. The caption reads The bottler fills it - the dealer sells it. The sign is inscribed Coca Cola bottler and retailer should work together. Retailers all buy at regular prices, pay cash, and deposit on bottles because it pays to push Coca Cola. 300,000 retailers sell Coca Cola in bottles. It had to be good to get where it is - 7 million a day. The sign is blank on the back and in excellent condition with some surface flaking and loss on the right upper corner. 12761-21UI
