ITEM DESCRIPTION:

TOM CORBETT SPACE CADET 2 SPARKLING SPACE SHIP POLARIS WINDUP NEAR MINT BOXED BY MARX. This is an exceptional example of this 1952 toy. First off it has the original fin that has some light wear. It sparks as it should, see pictures. The paint is just incredible, bright as the day that it came off the production line. There is just the lightest of wear mostly from being in the original box for over 70 years. A couple of box rubs on top, maybe a faint scratch here and there. The one wheel side has a thin swath of paint loss due to the wheels moving. The bottom of the wheels are clean indicating little to no use. No dents or dings and of course no rust. Missing the small colored piece of plastic that covers the exhaust at the end. Wind it up and it moves across the floor as pinging sound is produced. On off switch works. The toy is large at 12 inches long. This toy was made by Marx via Rockhill productions. The thin box has wear and tear. All the end flaps are there, the ones with the instructions are not taped the other end they are with more damage on that end. A real classic Marx toy in great condition.
