This rare early nineteen hundreds Royalty Club Whiskey sign is a reverse glass sign that was made during the Pre-Prohibition period and used on a back bar in a saloon. The glass sign was designed to go over the mirror on the back bar and advertise Royalty Club Whiskey. Why were mirrors on the back bar, you ask? Well you needed to know who was coming into the bar while you were enjoying your whiskey! If it were someone who was not very fond of you, you had to be ready for a fight! It has a lovely green surface, inscribed Royalty Club Whiskey A. Friedman Co. Sole Distributors. The sign has been framed and backed with new silver foil (not attached to backer) to give the piece an original look. We can put in touch with a gold leaf person who can add the gold or silver leaf.
