ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Vintage WWII era military matchbook cover (with striker but no matches) for the Los Angeles Area, 4th District Army Air Force Technical Training Command. Reverse side of cover is similar to a post card. One side is for the address and other side where they could write a message. The box in upper right corner, the service member would write the word "Free" (no postage required). Measures 3.00" x 4.50" and manufacturer Universal Match Corp., Los Angeles CA. Matchbook cover is in good used condition with some soiling/stains and bumped corners.
