ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This beautiful pressed oak calendar clock dates from the early 20th century and was manufactured by the New Haven Clock Co. It is called the Referee and is an 8-day store regulator. These clocks were popular for advertising and this example is no exception. The lower glass has a great transfer label with gold trimmed red letters inscribed Mecca Cigarettes Perfect Satisfaction 10 for 5c. It measures 37 tall by 15 1/2 wide and is in excellent condition with its original glasses and finish. The paper dial has some smudges from years of winding. Due to it's being so fragile, it is for pick up only or we travel a lot and do several shows along the east coast and will be glad to arrange a meeting place for a buyer. 13635-10RPE
