ITEM DESCRIPTION:
MARX DRIVERS TRAINING CARS SET OF 2, 1 BOXED & 1 LOOSE TIN WIND UP N MINT WORKS. Wow here is no instant collection of these Marx Drivers Training Cars from the 40's or 50's or as they are called Learn To Drive Cars. Dual control #305. On the sides it says Car #1 and Safe Driving School. All tin litho and all work. As the cars run across a table when they reach the edge the front of the car drops down and the center wheel engages taking it in another direction. Then when it reaches the other side of the table it works in the same way. The wheel is not meant to touch the table until it's going over the edge, therefore a good safe driver. These are all a bit shy of 7 inches long. I will explain each one starting with the boxed one on right. This one may be new old stock in the box. The lightest of wear. Has the yellow roof. Most of the time due to age the plastic on the roof breaks. This one has no breaks at all which is very very rare. No rust, dents of dings. It winds up and works but, the wind up is a little tight but, works well when you wind it most of the way, this is probably due to age. The box is clean and has some wear and tear, has a couple small dings on a couple sides, has all the end flaps, a couple on one end are taped from the inside. Next the one on left. This one has the red roof - This one does have some light wear and it has been used. The red roof is intact with just a small stress crack at the bottom of the drivers dashboard. No rust, dents or dings. Wind it up and it works. This one also is a little tight but, when wound most of the way it works great. These have come out of my 30+ year toy collection. It's hard to find one nice one nevertheless two. Please check out my other vintage toys. Thank you, Dave.
