Used by painters to let potential customers know they only used Dutch Boy paints, this metal sign dates from the early 1950's and is in super nice shape! Dutch Boy gave these beautiful signs to paint contractors who painted with Dutch Boy paints as a thank you, and the bottom privilege panel had their name and address added. The sign appears to be in unused condition, as the mounting holes are flat, with just some minor chips around the outer lip of the sign. The gloss is great, with just some typical production marks on the face. It is marked The Donaldson Art Sign Co. in the lower left corner, and Reg. U. S. Pat. Off. - National Lead Co. above the privilege panel on the right size. It measures just under two foot by three foot so it will fit in a frame with ease. 19700-OOP
