This beautifully lithographed paper sign dates from the 1880's or 1890's and has an image of a pretty little girl holding a container of pills. Ayer's Pills was suppose to be a cure for aliments of the stomach, liver and blowels. Also a cure for indigestion, headace, dizziness and more. Really a cure all for anything that you thought was wrong with you. It is inscribed Ayer's Cathartic Pills. These Pills are sugar coated and easy to take. Ayer's Pills for the Family. Prepared by Dr. J. C. Ayer & Co. Lowell, Mass., U. S. A. The sign has been professionally stabilized and restored. It has been matted and framed for display and protection.
