ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This scarce early twentieth century carbide powered brass lamp was designed to mount with a bracket onto the front of a bicycle. It has a clean front lens and red and green jeweled side lenses for port and starboard, just like on a boat. The carbide tank attaches to the bottom and the back of the lamp is embossed 20th Century MFG. CO. Made In U. S. of America. The Lamp was originally nickel plated, but at some point it was polished down to the brass. It is in good complete condition but appears to have been in a spill or two. The exhaust cap at the top is bent and the back of the tank has been cracked and resoldered. It measures about seven inches tall by five inches wide. 14816-51IE
