ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Way before vanity plates were on our vehicles, drivers used these cool license plate tag toppers that were mounted on top of the rear license tag. The drivers behind them could see where they went on vacation, which type of fuel they used, which civic club they were in, or what political party they belonged to. This large rare cast aluminum license plate topper is inscribed Pocahontas Corn Crib Of The World and dates from the 1930's. It has painted floral decorations on the ends. I have not been able to find out anything about this item but I think that it may have advertised an agricultural product. It measures about five and a half inches tall by fourteen and a quarter inches wide and is in excellent condition with minor paint loss and corrosion. 14914-51EPP
