Just the right shade of blue to catch your eye, this very nice Pettit Yacht Finishes thermometer has a glossy porcelain finish and is ready for your collection. Coming to you from Belleville, New Jersey, the Pettit Paint Company has covered the waterfront since 1861, and looks good doing it. A chip at the top mounting hole can be seen, along with some wear around the thermometer tube hole. A drop of paint can be seen on the face of the thermometer, along with some outer edge paint where it was not removed when a wall was painted.
