ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This horizontal wooden sign let farmers know that the best way to sell their grain and seeds was to cut out the middle man and sell directly to H H Carr & Co. It features a well dressed farmer giving a 'thumbs up' over his shoulder to a train making it's way to Chicago, Illinois. The black letters pop nicely against the yellow background with some minor wear and cuts on the wood face. The outer frame is wooden as well and makes a nice contrast to this vintage piece. 19867-WTPP
