ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Rare are 1940's tin counter top display that also stores the product are rare to find, especially in this condition. The Service Station or garage would store Carter Carburetor rebuild kits and parts in it.. It is painted black with red, white, and yellow lettering and decoration. At the bottom of the stand is a divided drawer inscribed CARbureTER across the front. It has 23 compartments for carb parts like metering rods, jets, and needle seat assemblies. An open compartment above the drawer has a slanted back and will hold a dozen Carter rebuild kits. The top of the stand is inscribed Restore new car performance, Carter Carbureter(sic) Original Equipment Parts. It has two slots at the top for perhaps carb gaskets or a parts catalog. The stand is in excellent original condition with strong color and typical wear and surface rust. There is some pitting and loss on the back bottom lip, but it cannot be seen from the front. Four rebuild kits are included: 1939 Pontiac six, 1939 Pontiac eight, 1940-1942 Pontiac eight, and 1941-1942 Chevrolet civilian vehicles only. 13120-21WPP
