1939 NY Worlds Fair Dandy Goodwill Doll Near Mint Boxed Rare. Here is an incredible rarely seen Dandy Goodwill Composition Doll from NY World's Fair 1939 in a partial box. This almost 14 inch doll to the top of the hat is in fantastic condition. No breaks or damage to the hands and feet just the slightest bit of litho loss. Has the original plastic belt with clip that reads "NY World's Fair 1939". A little wear on the decal. Has the chest and back ribbon that says "Officially Licensed Doll New York World's Fair 1939 A Joy Doll Product." It is in great condition. He wears the felt hat with orange brim, a blue felt jacket, His pants are orange felt. All this felt is in remarkable condition for an almost 85 year old doll. No holes or tears. The head does have one light dent. These heads look to be hand made but, that is a guess. The face is almost perfect. On top of all that the arms and legs are articulated and can be moved though I wouldn't over do it. I was able to get him to stand on his own. The original box bottom is in World's Fair orange with lots of New York landmarks. There is lots of wear, repairs, glue, tape etc. In over 30 years I have only seen one doll sell 16 years ago in rough condition at auction for $480 and that didn't include buyer's premium or tax.
