Jensen Steam Engine Model 70 N Mint 40s 50s Works, see video. Here is a real nice vintage Jenson Steam Engine Model 70 on their specially made wood platform. There is really no wear, some oxidation around the base where the stack connects. Has the metal plate from Jensen. Both wooden valves are like new. The metal copper brick has no damage as well as the stack. Still has the old plug That is in almost perfect condition. I added some distilled water and it heated up quickly as you can see in the video. The whistle blew. A little dripping by the safety valve and by the screws above the wheel. Just a few drops to wipe up. The gasket on the safety valve may be old or I didn't quite tighten it enough. The board is 9.5 inches square in great condition. This could have hardly been used. Because of the old plug and the lack of a zip code this is at least the 1950's. Jenson has been making these steam engines for almost 100 years. Because their manufacturing machinery is based on 1920's technology, the Jensen Steam Engine can only be made by hand. No robotics or automation, just quality hand-craftsmanship! This is the reason you won't find a Jensen in every hobby or toy store... they just can't supply all that want them. A great educational toy. Check out my vintage toy collection and advertising.
