ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Teddy the Manager Battery Operated Boxed Works Near Mint Rare Toy. This is the hardest to find in the Telephone series of toys. Teddy the Manager is busy at his desk taking calls all day. Dial the large tin phone a few times, the light in the small phone on the desk lights up as you do this. After a few turns of the dial hold it down against the metal guide, the phone then rings and Teddy brings the receiver to his ear and starts to talk or should I say squeak while his mouth is moving. He talks for a while then brings the receiver back down as the call has ended (SEE THE VIDEO JUST UNDER THE DESCRIPTION) Teddy is in near mint condition. He has the blue light on his desk which is often missing, both phones. The pencil is missing replaced with a tooth pick. It really has no purpose as far as running the toy goes. The toy has very light wear, the plastic receiver on the large phone does not sit on the phone well due to the wire not being as pliable as it once was in the 1950's. There is just a little surface rust in one of the corners under the toy. The box is in excellent condition with some light wear. Very hard to find in any condition.
