ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Dating from the early 1900's, this rare metal faced sign has a two color wood frame around it to allow the store owner to hang it with ease outside his establishment. Our research has shown that Daniel Webster Flour was located in New Ulm, Minnesota, and the sign bears an ink stamp of The Turner Sign Co. Pocomoke, MD in the lower right corner. We cannot find much history on the Turner Sign Company, aside from it filed for bankruptcy in 1915. The sign has a few small scratches on the face, with some light fading, along with some light bubbling along the upper edge. We can also see some light touchup in the upper left corner. Very rare sign that will look great in your country store collection. 20364-YYP
