Brightelite Filling Station Lithographed Toy by Marx 1930s
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Brightelite Filling Station tin lithographed toy by Louis Marx from the 1930s. The "OIL-GREASE" cabinet contains a "D" cell battery to light the light on top of the gas pump. Toy comes with a partial box. There are no end flaps on the box. Base plate is 9.5" wide by 2.5' deep and the gas pump with the bulb is 5.5" tall. I have not inserted a battery so not sure if the bulb works. Condition of the toy is excellent with great patina. The original box is rough with no end caps, surface wear, creases and the glue seam is coming apart.
