Weary travelers always needed a bathroom stop on their trip and many were not in the best shape and some travelers chose to hold it until the next stop. The White Cross of Cleanliness was a stamp of approval by Good Housekeeping Magazine given to Shell stations across the country, and travelers knew where to stop for a clean rest room. Marked Home-Clean up top with Rest Rooms on the bottom, this double sided flange sign is in great shape with some discoloration around the outer edges. One side has multiple scratches on the top half of the sign with some paint loss. Some minor chipping can be seen on the top lip and the outer bottom corner. If the mounting looks a bit off than a normal flange sign, it is! It has two channels where the sign would side into a track and hang easily for everyone to see. The rivet ends have some slight surface rust, but are all original. 19260-TPP
