ITEM DESCRIPTION:
We are offering a Made in Germany (probably Meier) penny toy boat from the 1920s. These were called penny toys because they were sold for a penny at the time. The material is thin lithographed tin. Overall length is 4¼" by â...ž" wide and 2" tall to the top of the stacks. Behind the starboard side wheel, it is marked "Made in Germany". Condition is excellent with minor play wear. Because penny toys are so fragile, many did not survive past the first owner.
