Set of 6 7-Up/7UP Green Glasses with Original Box

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

The manufacturer of this set of six (6) tumblers is unknown. The original box is unmarked except for the words Famous Brands 6 Pack and the container manufacturer from New Jersey/NJ. Each glass is pale green in color-paler than an actual 7-Up bottle. The applied paint decoration is in excellent shape and they appear to have never been used. Makes sense since the estate that these glasses came from had lots of this type of merchandise in the attic in original packaging. The center of the label (on each side) is a reddish-orange color with 7Up and seven (7) small white bubbles. Above the red is Fresh Up with Seven-Up while You Like It-It Likes You is below. Just above the base is 12 Fluid Ounces. One side has the pattern's seam while the opposite side has the ingredients list. Each side of the box has three (3) openings to see the glasses. There are two (2) pieces of scotch-style tape which held the box closed. The box is solid and the bottom has two (2) metal staples to keep the flaps closed. The top was sealed with brown tape. The box may be a little yellowed due to age but it still displays well. I'm having great difficulty locating info on the glasses but the box maker's address does not include a zip code. The You Like It-It Likes You slogan began in the mid-1930's but Fresh Up with Seven-Up wasn't used until 1957. My guess is that these glasses are from the very early 1960's.
