1939 Hammersley Gulliver's Travels Bone China Cup/Saucer
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Manufactured by Hammersley & Co. of England, this bone china cup and saucer has scenes from the 1939 animated Max Fleischer film Gulliver's Travels. The front of the cup features Princess Glory and Prince David, while the reverse has their castle. The top of the cup's interior has four (4) small figures. The saucer has a large picture of Gulliver pulling a fleet of ships and there are five (5) small figures above the larger picture. The gold trim is bright and vibrant without any signs of wear. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. The base of the saucer seems to have some light stains which appear to be underneath the glaze.
