Sterling Huntington Phi Delta Kappa Semi Pro Stickpin

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Manufactured by Dyer of Indianapolis, this sterling stickpin/cravat pin reads Huntington and 1913 and shows the Greek letters for Phi Delta Kappa fraternity. Phi Delta Kappa was a professional football team in 1913 and records show a game played against the Ft. Wayne Friars on Oct. 19th where they lost 25-0. They were located in Indiana at Huntington College, where they were granted a charter in 1908. The shaft of the stickpin has a swirl pattern molded in, which helped to keep it in place. There is no damage.
