1951 Teacher's Edition Dick Jane The New Pre-Primers
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
I never have any Dick and Jane books (but always lots of requests for them) and now I've ended up with a bunch! This is a teacher's edition for the three (3) pre-primers: The New We Look and See, The New We Work and Play and The New We Come and Go. This hardcover book is dated 1951. Before each primer are instructions for the teacher on promoting reading and help with lesson plans. Each primer section has the wonderful color prints of Dick, Jane, Spot and Puff that most of us remember learning to read with. There appear to be 256 pages but the numbering is screwy. There is some light pencil writing just inside the front cover but I'm not seeing any more throughout the book. The binding is nice and tight although the top and bottom of the spine are scuffed but not broken. This would make a great gift for the teacher in your life or as a reminder of a simpler time.
