Item: Four Coin Tin Children's Bank
This neat little four coin bank was manufactured by Louis Kriegsfeld in the late 1930's. It has an image of a smiling sun and slots for pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters on the top. On the sides are lithographed images of thrifty children saving their coins between open coin tubes with gradients to keep track of how many of each type of coin the bank holds. The bottom rotates so the coin tubes can be emptied. These banks originally had locks and keys, but the locking mechanism is missing from this example. The bank measures three and three quarters inches tall by two and three quarters inches in diameter and is in good condition with nicks and fading. 9879-51T
