Item: 1910 Sparkling Gems Candy Tin Lancaster PA Rodda Candy
This beautiful candy tin dates from around 1910 and originally held three pounds of Sparkling Gems, hard sugar candies manufactured by the Lancaster, PA. based R. E. Rodda Candy Company, better known for creating marshmallow chicks, those sugary treats that we all got in our Easter baskets. The tin is bright red with gold trim and is inscribed Sparkling Gems a delicious pure sugar confection on the front and back. The tin measures six and a half inches tall by five and a half inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with a few nicks and scratches and spots of surface rust around the bottom rim. 9976-61WR
