Item: Victorian Celluloid 7 piece Woman's Dresser Set Original Box
Dating from the second half of the 19th century, this ornate footed dresser box, trimmed in green velvet and covered in celluloid panels decorated with images of elegant Victorian ladies surrounded with garlands of roses. The front panel opens to reveal a red satin lined interior holding a group of white gutta percha dresser items, including a brush, a hand mirror, and a pair of rouge pots, plus a celluloid button hook and a nail buffer that appears to be made of bone. Closed the box measures 7 inches tall by 11 inches wide by 5 inches deep and is in good condition with wear on the green velvet trim and tears and loss in the satin liner. The celluloid panels are in excellent condition with only minor wear. 1258-81RT
