Item: 1939 New York World's Fair Greyhound Trolley Cars Arcade
Manufactured by Arcade for the 1939 New York World's Fair, this 7 piece trolley car set is a miniature version of the trolleys that were used to ferry visitors around the fairgrounds. With cast iron bodies, rubber wheels, and tin canopies, the cars are painted orange and navy blue and the tow motor is inscribed Greyhound New York World's Fair with the Trylon and Perisphere and the bus line's hound logo on the sides. Although this example is missing 3 of the canopies, it appears to have been seldom played with and is in excellent condition with only a few nicks in the paint. When assembled it measures about 29 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide. 17437-41OYP
