Produced by Georgia potter D. X. Gordy in the 1930s or 1940s, this hard to find hand thrown miniature butter churn, complete with its lid and paddle, was a souvenir from President Franklin D. Roosevelt's retreat in Warm Springs, GA. Embossed Little White House Warm Springs, GA. on the front, the churn has applied ear handles and a mottled greenish brown satin finish. It measures 3 3/8 inches tall by 3 inches wide and is in excellent condition with a quarter inch rim ship. 1390-81TP
