Item: Antique Waterman Style Gem Pan--3
12 1/4" X 8 5/8", eleven cups, marked B O with 2 GATE marks assuring you it is a true antique as gate marks appeared on cast iron cookware from mid 1700's until late 1800's , on the bottom of one handle is a raised 2. Nathaniel Waterman designed and patented this pattern in 1859 with the cut outs between the cups, the purpose being to allow even heat to each cup for better baking and it obviously was a big hit in the baking world as other foundries copied the style even though it was patented, this is probably one of those copies as it is the style but not Waterman's markings, however this is a true antique in it's own right as it is well over 100 years old.
