Item: Thermold Heater Hose display reel
Back in the days before cramped engine bays forced manufacturers to use preformed heater hoses, a different shape for each application, heater hose was sold by the foot from display reels like this one. It dates from the late 1940s or early 1950s and would have been used in an auto parts store or service station. It has a tin sign at the top inscribed Let Us Check Your Car Heater Hose If It Is Like This You Need A New Piece Of Thermold Car Heater Hose. There is an arrow on the sign that points to a pair of holes that would have held an old, cracked piece of hose. The stand has a pair of wheels so it can be rolled around easily. It measures about thirty-three inches tall by thirteen inches square and is in good condition with some surface rust, scratches, and wear from years of use. There will be a $10 for oversized shipping charges from shipping co. 15894-70EEP
